North Walled Garden

The North Walled Garden has an excellent collection of specimen conifers including Abies Kawakamii (a rare fir from Formosa), Abies Nordmanniana (Caucasian Fir), Abies Delavayi and A. Del. Forrestii, Juniperus Recurva Coxii (coffin juniper). Other plants include Pinns Patula, Cytisus Battandieri (Mediterranean pineapple plant), Abutilon Vitifolium (from Chile - white and mauve colour variety), Atherosperma Moschata (Tasmania), Hoheria Lyallii (New Zealand). This section of the walled garden also contains greenhouses which have a fine selection of tender and unusual plants.
